eShakti review >< A Touch of Nautical

When eShakti contacted me about reviewing one of their products, I was more than just a little excited.
I first heard about eShakti from my friend Tasha and thought it sounded like a really neat site.  Looking on their site, I liked a lot of their clothing but, since I didn't really need anything was reluctant to pay the money for, what I now know to be very high quality products.  Choosing just 1 thing to review was hard to do!

Dress >< eShakti
Cream Tank ><  stolen borrowed from my mom's drawer
Necklace >< Same as above.
Shoes >< None.  Barefoot is the best way to go.: )

This dress is SO very nice! The style is darling and reminds me of a sailor dress I had as a very young girl.  I am picturing pairing it with either nude colored shoes, or red.  Red shoes, purse, and nails, as suggested by my aunt would really make for a fun patriotic outfit.

The neckline is a little lower in the front and back than I, personally, am comfortable with so added the tank underneath and voila!  Problem solved.

I am very impressed with the high quality materials and it was customized with amazing accuracy.  The craftsmanship seems impeccable (and that is coming from a sewing perfectionist) even down to the tiniest details.  It very conveniently has tabs with snaps to secure straps at the shoulders.  It is super comfy, and the material seems to be very breathable.  I wasn't sure at first about the side zipper, because it doesn't extend all the way up into the sleeve making it somewhat difficult to put on and take off.  After a few times though, I figured out the best way, and it is isn't really an issue for me now.

If you have never heard of eShakti, let me give you a quick intro:  They sell mostly vintage inspired clothing, with an updated look that someone (like me) who isn't technically a vintage dresser would wear.  The best part?  All of their products are customizable to your hight, size, and style.  On the site it says: "we design, you customize".  Being 1/4" under 5' means that most things are too long for me, this was simply not so with eShakti!

Oh and did I mention every dress and skirt on their site has pockets??  That is, unless you decided to not have them in the customizing process!  They have most certainly figured out what gals want in a dress or skirt (or at least what this one wants)!

You all, can use the coupon code "NWGES" and get 10% off your order from them through June 20th!  Enter the code in the "promotional code" box when checking out to take advantage of this offer.

  2. Looks really nice, Maria! I like it! Navy blue and pearls are a great combination! And I agree that bare feet are awesome! I like the picture of you twirling, with the beautiful green grass and lovely blue sky behind you. =)
